Bedford has been contracted by Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Aseptic Dispensing Unit (QEHADU) to develop a Drug Weighting Management System (DWMS). The system is designed to automate and control the drug weighting, mixing and release processes of QEHADU. The implementation of DWMS has improved QEHADU’s operations efficiency and eliminate chances of human errors in their work process.

The DWMS provides by Bedford Technologies Ltd is a software platform runs on server and workstations that integrates with electronic devices (label printer, electronic balance, bar-code scanners) used in QEHADU’s drug weighting process. A refined drug weighting, mixing and release work processes is implemented with the use of the DWMS.
